Precise test results for API kits! Many values on the paper charts look alike or the printed colors don't look like the actual test tube liquids.
Paper charts are inaccurate because they display reflected light, whereas actual test tubes have light pass through them, or transmitted light.
Watercolors are downloadable photographic images of lab-calibrated actual test tubes that display transmitted light just like the actual test kit test tubes.
The second inaccuracy of printed paper charts is known as dynamic range. This is the range of colors and their variations. Of course, there is no dynamic range limitation when viewing the test tube itself, but the reflected paper has a mere fraction of this range (thousands of times less color variations exist for paper charts). This results in great difficulty in reading and knowing the exact value as many colors on the paper chart look almost the same!
Watercolors is far more accurate and far easier to read than paper charts because it is the same light type and because our water samples are calibrated with laboratory instruments. We know the values are correct, and so will you!
